Britt: It’s really tricky because no two people need the same help. So if you just do a video and say this is how you do it, well you’re wasting your time because that may not be what they need to work on. Video gives you some idea, but it’s basically how that person shoots. It’s not how they need to shoot.
Video is good if people understand that’s the way, for example, Leo shoots. Leo can’t shoot like I can. I can’t shoot like Leo can. I can’t shoot like Bonillas. Bonillas can’t shoot like me. Bonillas can’t shoot like Leo. Leo can’t shoot like Stafford. Stafford can’t shoot like Leo. But they’re all very good.
Do you understand why I’ve never made a video and I’ve had some really good offers, but it’s not going to help the person that needs help that wants to learn to shoot trap.
iTrapshooter.com: You’re holding true to what you know and what you believe is true.
Britt: I believe that with all my heart. You can’t teach two people the same. You can get ten football players, they’re not all going to do the same things. Baseball players aren’t going to all bat the same. Golfers don’t have the same swing. What makes one better than the other?
What this guy is weak in, he may not really think it’s his weak point. For example, how many go out and say, “oh I shoot three and four hundred targets a week”. Or “I go out and shoot two or three hundred targets a day, three times a week”. Ask them what they practice. They’ll say “what do you mean, I’m going out shooting, that’s practicing”. I’d say, no it’s not. What are you practicing? They can’t answer it. I guarantee you can ask ten people that, you know, are the average shooters. Ask them that question. Ask them how many targets do you shoot, ask them what do you practice, I guarantee you can knock ‘em over with a pin cushion.
